Onion is a vegetable with pungent flavour. It can be eaten raw but usually served cooked. It is very versatile can be baked, boiled, fried, grilled or roasted. Onions are available in three colours: red, yellow and white. White skinned onions are mild and sweet. To cook an onion need to peel off the papery skin and then chop. It can be kept in a cool dry place for a month.
